Students majoring in MCS are prepared for a career as a software developer, computer programmer or systems analyst. In addition to programming skills required to write computer code, a systems analyst is formally trained to analyze a business need or problem, gather user requirements, and translate those requirements into technical design specifications for a computerized solution.
